Benny Glaser Wins Third Bracelet of 2025 WSOP in Event #56: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball
Benny Glaser continues to solidify his legendary status in the world of poker. On Saturday night at the 2025 World Series of Poker, Glaser secured his third bracelet of the summer and his eighth overall, winning Event #56: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball. This win not only reinforces his position as a dominant force in mixed games but also etches his name deeper into poker history.
The event drew 463 entries and generated a prize pool of $1,030,175. Glaser clinched the title with a perfect 6-5 in ace-to-five, wrapping up the tournament around 3 a.m. His latest bracelet is another testament to his incredible versatility and elite status in mixed-game formats.
A Historic Third Bracelet in One Series
By capturing three bracelets in a single WSOP, Glaser joins an exclusive group of just eight players to accomplish this feat in one summer. That list includes poker legends such as Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, Brian Rast, and Scott Seiver.
Glaser’s consistent dominance in non-Hold’em formats has made him one of the most respected players in the field. His WSOP titles have all come from variants outside of Texas Hold’em, and he’s also the all-time leader in both SCOOP and WCOOP titles on PokerStars.
Players With More Bracelets Than Glaser
With more than 10 events remaining in the series that feature mixed games — including the prestigious Poker Players Championship — Glaser still has a real shot at grabbing his fourth bracelet of the year.

Inside the Final Table
The final day began with 15 players, including Glaser, who returned with 19 big blinds — about half the stack of chip leader Michael Balan. But Glaser quickly climbed the leaderboard, entering the final table second in chips.
Actor James Woods, a regular in WSOP mixed games, narrowly missed the final table after mistakenly patting a ninety-eight in ace-to-five, thinking they were playing deuce-to-seven. He busted soon after.
Chris Klodnicki (USA) was eliminated in seventh in a tough cooler situation, and a rapid series of bustouts followed, with David Baker, Michael Balan, and Mark Klecan all exiting in quick succession.
The three-handed battle between Glaser, Thornton, and Alexander stretched nearly four hours, with each player holding the chip lead and the short stack at different points. Ultimately, Glaser outlasted both — first cracking Alexander’s ten with a five-outer, then outdrawing Thornton’s pat ten with a perfect six to seal the win.
Glaser Reflects on the Victory
“It feels outrageous, honestly,” Glaser told PokerNews after the win. “Three in one series… that’s so many in one series and it’s not even over yet. It’s unreal.”
Glaser acknowledged how tough the final three-handed match was, saying, “Twice I doubled up Schuyler, when he essentially got lucky all-in. So I was just trying to use the breaks to reset… breathe and bring myself back to the situation.”
Is Glaser Chasing Hellmuth?
When asked about possibly catching Phil Hellmuth’s record 17 bracelets, Glaser was humble but realistic. “There’s getting to be thoughts of it… I’m not necessarily setting my goal on that. It would be a cool thing. I’m still just going to try to keep showing up every summer and keep playing my best.”
With nearly half the 2025 WSOP schedule still ahead, including the Chip Reese Memorial Trophy event and many more mixed-game opportunities, Glaser remains a strong contender to tie Johnny Moss at nine bracelets — or even go beyond.
One thing’s for certain: betting against Benny Glaser this summer isn’t a wise move.
