WSOP 2025: Netanel Stern Wins $5,000 Super Turbo Bounty for $618,377

The 2025 World Series of Poker Event #87: $5,000 Super Turbo Bounty concluded in just one day of action-packed poker. With 1,283 entries, the event created a total prize pool of $5,908,100. After 16 hours of intense play, Israel’s Netanel Stern emerged victorious, claiming his first-ever WSOP bracelet and a top prize of $618,377.

This fast-paced single-day event saw many seasoned pros fall short as Stern outlasted them all, including runner-up Rostyslav Sabishchenko of Ukraine. It was a heartbreaking second-place finish for Sabishchenko—his second time falling just short of a bracelet.

“It feels good. I’m an amateur player. So it’s by the help of God, that’s the only thing,” Stern told PokerNews after his win. “I’m here by mistake. I didn’t know about this tournament because today I’m flying. But my friend sent me a message: ‘There’s a tournament, $5,000 Super Turbo Bounty.’ I said, ‘Maybe I’ll go,’ otherwise I would have lost it at the roulette. So I came, and the rest is history.”

Heads-Up: Stern vs. Sabishchenko

Sabishchenko entered heads-up play with a sizable 2.5:1 chip advantage and all the momentum, having eliminated every other player at the final table. But Stern remained calm and steadily chipped away at the lead before a dramatic final hand.

Sabishchenko opened from the small blind with K♣10♥, only to be met with an all-in shove from Stern holding A♦A♣. Sabishchenko made the call for his tournament life. The board ran 9♠2♠5♥3♥4♠, sealing Stern’s victory with pocket aces. Sabishchenko had to settle for second place and $412,187.

Netanel Stern’s storybook win and humble reaction make this one of the most memorable moments of the 2025 WSOP so far.
